Born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, athletics have always played an important part of my life. As I grew up, baseball became my favorite sport and one I excelled at as I entered high school. After high school, I was recruited to play at the University of Illinois and entered my freshman year as an aspiring business major. My time as an Illini culminated in 2008 when I became the team's "Friday Night Starter." Throughout my playing career I was always fortunate to have quality coaches who took the time to work with me and develop me as both a player and a person. My positive experiences in athletics eventually encouraged me to alter my professional and educational pursuits to seek a career in athletic administration. Professional Since graduating, I have obtained experience in multiple avenues of athletics that have taken me as far as California. Currently, I serve as the Recreation & Wellness Coordinator at North Hennepin Community College where I have led the college's recreational athletics and club sports since 2011. I also serve as the pitching coach for Park Center High School Varsity Baseball. My experiences have pushed me to specifically pursue a career in interscholastic athletics. With an expected master's graduation date of May 2018, I will soon be able to legitimatly pursue administration positions. Personal Now living in Minneapolis, my wife, Lisa and I have been married since '14. Together we have a son, Evan and a dog, Macey. In our free time, we enjoy golfing and spending weekends up north exploring the trails off Lake Superior. |
